Quantum Security Unleashed: A New Era for Secure Communications and Systems
Keynote by Dr Johanna Sepúlveda
Tuesday, 25 February 2025
09:00—10:00
Quantum technologies enable the development of a wide range of new computers, sensors, and communication systems. These technologies have a profound impact on security, presenting both new challenges and significant opportunities to enhance it. They are reshaping areas such as distributed systems, cryptography, secure communication, and data protection. While post-quantum cryptography will secure the majority of applications, quantum cryptography will be essential for safeguarding high-stakes sectors such as government, defense, critical infrastructure, healthcare, and finance.
This talk will explore the different quantum technologies and their potential transformative capabilities. It will focus on quantum-secure communication and its global status, including the deployment of large-scale infrastructures such as the European Quantum Communication Infrastructure (EuroQCI). The future of this technology, along with the required NDSS contributions to the area will also be discussed.

Keynote Speaker: Dr Johanna Sepúlveda
